January 2010 SPIE chapter students participated in the workshop on Entrepreneurship and Business innovation organized between Tecnológico de Monterrey (campus León) and Centro de Investigaciones en Óptica. The workshop was focused on the issues involved in integrating ideas of entrepreneurship and business innovation into PhDs and Msc programs in optics. At this event attended businessmen from various local industrial sectors linking and interacting research from CIO with industrial sector. In this event students talk about their own research projects and people from Tecnológico de Monterrey gave talks about opening industries and business.
